A custom berry bowl with drainage holes is the cutest summer addition to your kitchen table! Make Your Own Berry Bowl Workshop – Wed March 4th from 7-9pm. This workshop is sponsored by Elan Transfers. The Process: Learn how to roll a perfect slab of clayCut out the template with precisionLearn how to use transfer sheets with minimal bleedingAttach your sides by scoring and slipping the clay for secure attachments\, including a footCustomize your berry bowl with stamps and cut-outsAll materials\, clay\, and tools are included This workshop will last 2-2 1/2 hoursYour berry bowls will dry slowly\, then get fired and glazed\, ready for pick-up 4-6 weeks later. Using premium brown stoneware clay\, you will learn the calming technique of carving “divets” and grooves into a thick clay slab to create a functional piece of art. The Slow-Art Experience: Slab Preparation: Learn to compress\, shape\, and cut a professional-grade stoneware slab. Mindful Carving: Ariella will guide you through the meditative process of slowly carving out crevices and grooves. Texture & Design: Use studio tools to smooth\, texture\, and customize your dish with your own aesthetic. Finishing: Choose from our selection of vibrant glazes to finish your piece. Your handcrafted dishes will dry slowly in our studio before being professionally fired. They will be ready for pickup in 4–6 weeks. No prior pottery experience is necessary!
